The following criteria will be taken into account in judging applications:
- Academic promise of the applicant.
- Quality of the research proposal, including its feasibility in the time-frame proposed.
- Progress made on the research (for continuing funding applications).
- Level of faculty support for the research project proposed.
- Likelihood that the proposal will result in publishable work.
- Degree of inter-disciplinary collaboration involved in the research proposal.
