Continuing Education Scholarship Program

The Center for Occupational and Environmental Health (COEH) is committed to creating a diverse environment and is proud to be an equal opportunity higher education provider. We understand the critical role that occupational and environmental health and safety professionals play in safeguarding workplaces and communities. To support dedicated individuals who may face financial constraints in accessing continuing education opportunities, we are proud to introduce the Continuing Education Scholarship Program. 

Through this program, partial and full scholarship seats may be made available for courses, workshops, and trainings offered by COEH Continuing Education. 

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Applicants must be employed in the field of occupational and environmental health and safety.
  • Applicants must demonstrate financial need and lack of funding available through their workplace for continuing education. 
  • Applicants must demonstrate a commitment to actively contribute to the field, and share how they plan to apply the knowledge gained for the betterment of workplace safety and environmental health. 

How to Apply:

Scholarship applications are due at least 14 days prior to the individual course start date. Interested individuals should submit an online application, including the following:

  1. Applicant Contact Information
  2. Demographic Information
  3. Employment History: Proof of employment in an occupational and environmental health and safety related field.
  4. Financial Need Statement: A brief explanation of the applicant's financial circumstances and why they require financial assistance, including confirmation of employer professional development funding availability. 
  5. Course Selection: Indicate the specific course you wish to enroll in.
  6. Statement of Purpose: A brief personal statement outlining the applicant's goals, how the educational activity aligns with their professional development, and the potential impact of the scholarship on their practice.
