Human Factors and Ergonomics Workshop to High School girls interested in EngineeringFaculty, researchers and alumnae deliver a Human Factors and Ergonomics Workshop to High School girls interested in Engineering. The event was hosted by San Jose State HF&E Student Society and introduced about 60 girls to careers and opportunities in STEM. Dr. Carisa Harris Adamson, Dr. Emily Lau, Dr. Peiyi Ko and Navaneeta Dorbala teamed up to teach some basics on anthropometry and design evaluation of common handheld objects to 60 High School girls willing to give up their Saturday to explore possibilities for future careers in Human Factors and Ergonomics. Alumnae, Dr. Anna Pereira gave inspirational words of encouragement to young girls interested in STEM careers. (Click here for video).
