About the webinar:

This presentation will explore the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) within the Occupational and Environmental Safety and Health (OESH) profession, highlighting both current and emerging applications. The content will primarily be based on insights and findings from a recent collaborative paper published by the American Industrial Hygiene Association (AIHA), offering a practical perspective on how AI is shaping the future of OESH practice.

Learning Objectives

At the completion of this activity, the learner will be able to:

  • Describe the key challenges and benefits of using Artificial Intelligence (AI), particularly in the context of Occupational and Environmental Safety and Health (OESH)

  • Analyze real-world case studies to evaluate the practical applications of AI for OESH professionals

Speaker: John Moore III, MA, CIH, CSP

John Moore III Mr. Moore is President and Principal Consultant of Control EHS in Atlanta, GA. He is a Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), Certified Safety Professional (CSP), OSHA authorized trainer (General Industry and Construction), and Certified Asbestos Inspector/Management Planner. He has over 20 years of experience applying Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) applications in a variety of industries. John earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Hygiene and Safety from Saint Augustine’s College and a Master’s of Science degree in Environmental and Industrial Hygiene from the University of Cincinnati. He has lectured at Morehouse School of Medicine, Spelman College, Georgia Tech, University of Georgia, and Auburn University. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of the American Industrial Hygiene Association (AIHA) and previously served as president of Georgia Local Section of the AIHA.

ACCREDITATION

The Center for Occupational and Environmental Health designates this activity for a maximum of 1.0 Contact Hour. Participants should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation.
