Objective
In conjunction with the USDA FSIS, this study sought to determine possible health effects to establishment workers of increased evisceration line speeds in young chicken and pork processing plants, including ergonomic hazards in the workplace, measurement of biomechanical risk factors for acute and cumulative work-related musculoskeletal disorders (WRMSDs), medical management, and respiratory hazards from antimicrobial use.
