What Is The Young Worker Leadership Academy?
Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the 2022 YWLA will look a bit different, but its mission – building youth leaders and advocates for safe workplaces – remains more important than ever. The hybrid academy will be highly interactive, including fun Zoom sessions and an in person day where participants will get to know each other, learn about workplace health and safety, and how to make positive change in their communities. The YWLA has historically been an all-expense paid, 3-day leadership training for teens on workplace safety, rights, and responsibilities. This year the academy will be a hybrid of zoom and in person time.
