Research

Our laboratory conducts research to measure biomechanical and physiological risk factors for chronic musculoskeletal disorders. We evaluate human-computer interaction, hand tools and other engineering solutions to support total worker health and prevention through design. Our expertise in environmental health sciences, engineering and medicine provide broad opportunities for research that has deep and lasting impact. The research staff include graduate students, UC faculty and Certified Professional Ergonomists. Our projects are funded by grants from private industry, National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH), and the National Institute of Health.
